This is a brand new course designed for the guitarist who wants to actually connect to the sounds they hear inside their heads. This class is a combination of ear training, fretboard harmony, modern music theory, improvisation and composition topics combined to give the student a more comprehensive experience.
The class introduces the basics for Az Samad’s approach to guitar. Topics to be covered include the CAGED system, intervals within the octave, triads and inversions, concepts for strong melody writing, guitar player studies, an introduction to open voiced triads and a 3-step primer on harmonising melodies using Happy Birthday or other classic melodies. The student will learn at a personalised pace in the one-on-one classes.
